Fruit and Vegetable Carving

Carving from Yam
I have learned carving from my friend in Bangkok. She is my blog’s friend and I call her "Pa Ya" She taught me a simple carving by free of charge. She told me after I learned for the basic and I need more practice. She taught me how to holding the carving knife and carefully. You need to buy the right carving knife.

This is my first carving “Rose Pumpkin”

At the first lesson, she taught me the basic carving by carving the rose from carrot, white carrot and pumpkin. Your hand must be relax otherwise you can get cut by carving knife easily. I got cut a few time too because I use the wrong knife.

Carving from Honey Drew Fruit

I have practice carving for a few times and few patterns later. I have bought the carving book from Bangkok. In a book shows and instruct step by step. After a while when I know how carve it. I find it’s more enjoyed and like to do more and more. I’m so glade that I have learned carving and very appreciate to my lovely friend who’s taught me. I have to take this opportunity to say “Thank you Pa Ya” again and again, for all you taught me about carving.

wow.. the carvings are REALLY beautiful even you're amatur! It's true you need to have nimble fingers to carved delicate designs. When I was served with such carvings with my dishes, I don't know what to do... eat the food or admiring the carvings instead :-D

Thank you for sharing!
