Ingredients:For 1-2 persons
- ½ - 1 cup peels and shredded green papaya
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2-3 fresh chilli
- 1 tbsp tamarind juice
- 1-2 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp palm sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp dried shrimp
- 1 tbsp peanuts
- Cabbage, lettuce and fresh long bean
1.Crush garlic, chilli in mortar mixing thoroughly.
2.Gentle crush shredded papaya in the mortar and add tamarind juice, fish sauce, lemon juice and palm sugar, mixing all.
3.Add dried shrimp and peanuts mix thoroughly and serve with lettuce, cabbage and long bean.
For Som Tam Khai Khem or Papaya Salad with Salted eggs
You just add salted egg and reduce some fish sauce because salted egg is already salty or add more sugar, if you prefer. Put the salted egg at last when you all done and serve with fresh vegetables.
Any way for this dish you can add or make the test as you like, no need to follow my recipe’s ingredient. Also you can add more vegetable into this dish e.g. shredded carrot or bean.
