Hydrangea Gum Paste
Hydrangea gum paste
Last year went back to Bangkok and have 1 day to meet
my gum paste teacher - Aina Lua, she so nice to meet me and teach me how to
make Hydrangea flower, which it I love to know how to make it.I has asked her buy for me the Hydrangea cutter too
and she came to my place and teach me roughly or basic to know how to make
because we don't have much time for it. I very appreciate her so much that's
she came just to teach me this.

Make a Rose from Gumpaste

Rose Petals Cutter, have 4 sizes in a set.
To cut the petals, you need to cut each size as follows; smallest cut 5 petals, small cut 4 petals, medium cut 5 and bigger cut 5 petals. (can see the number shown on top in photo)
My teacher also gave me the recipe for making my own gumpaste as below too
Ingredients;
- 250 g icing Sugar
- 7 tsp warm water
- 1 tsp gelatin
- 2 tsp sugar paste modelling gum (you can fine the gum powder at bakery store like Phoon Hut)
- 1 tsp glucose
- 1-1/2 tsp butter
- Dissolve gelatin with warm water, add butter and glucose and thoroughly mix well.
- Sift icing sugar and gum powder, add the gelatin mixture into it and knead until smooth. If you find too dry, you can add a bit of water and knead.
- Wrap with plastic wrap for 1-2 hour before use.
