Fried Minced Pork with Basil Leaves



Simple and easy fried rice, this is my most favorite dish call Khao Phad Kra Prao – Basil Leaves Fried Rice. Basil leaves or Holy Basil leaves we use the make an aroma or garnish for dish. We use most all the time for curry and spicy stir fired, the aroma of basil leave also can reduce the smell of meat too, e.g. fish, beef or seafood.

My favorite dish today was stir fried minced pork with basil leaves. This dish very simple for prepared by put chilli, garlic and black pepper into mortar and pound a bit, then bring to fried in a wok till fragrance add mint pork, add soy sauce, sugar and a bit of dark soy sauce, basil leaves and cut fresh chilli, then fried until pork were cook and take to put on top of the rice or you if you prefer to be Fried rice then put the rice into the wok and fried together. Serve with cut cucumber.

Ingredients   
(For 4 persons)
500 gm minced pork
4-5 chilli
5-6 clove of garlic
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce or fish salt
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 fresh chilli cut
½ cup or more if you like basil leaves
